I have been making films full-time since 2007. My first feature documentary, People Who Do Noise, played at festivals, museums, and galleries all over the world and is largely considered the foremost documentary on the topic.
My latest, Ecstasy of Order: The Tetris Masters, won the audience award at the Austin Film Festival and premiered at the International Documentary Festival Amsterdam, the largest of its kind. It went on to reach #5 on the itunes documentary chart, and has made the rounds on many of the most popular streaming services including Hulu, Crackle, Viewster, and most recently securing a deal with Lionsgate to appear on the Comicon channel.
Between documentaries, I produced a series of music videos for the pioneering Portland label Eolian Records that garnered exclusive premieres on websites such as Metal Injection, Revolver Magazine, Brooklyn Vegan, and Vice Noisey.
I am currently co-producing a feature documentary about the world of palindromes with Vince Clemente. It began with our short documentary about World Palindrome Champ Mark Saltviet, and has since grown into a feature project after that short appeared on Timemagazine.com, NPR, and PBS. We’ve filmed interviews with Will Shortz, Wierd Al, award-winning children’s author Jon Agee, and many of the top palindromists in the country. Follow our progress here.
In addition to my career as a documentary producer, I am also an accomplished editor and general post production professional. I am currently the editor at Balance Media. Our documentary, Chuitna, More than Salmon on the Line, won Best Environmental Film at the Missoula International Wildlife Film Festival, and went on to appear on the Wild and Scenic Nationwide Tour, the Princeton Environmental Film Festival, and the Portland Ecofilm Festival.
My most recent credits include editing a narrative feature, the psychological thriller Permeation (release TBA), as well as producing videos for Mental Floss and Vibrance Global.

Finally, this year will be my fifth co-producing the Classic Tetris World Championship. I am also a competitor (last year I placed 26th). This year’s tournament will be hosted by the Portland Retro Gaming Expo on October 22nd and 23rd. If you are interested in covering the tournament or in being a sponsor, I would love to hear from you.
